This wine for me works wonderfully. The right balance of fruit and acidity. It's perfect for food pairings plus I think that it's great as a 'cocktail' wine, as I like some acidity in my wines. I highly recommend it and am contacted my favorite wine store owner in Texas and asking him to source me more of the Dufaitre's wines...

Reminded me of all the reasons I have loved Gamay! Ruby medium transparency with some sediment. Notable effervescence. Bouquet of strawberry jam. Palate adds blueberry and cherry and cooked raspberry sauce. The giveaway of bubblegum. Blue stone and lavender. High acidity. Dry, Medium low tannin focused at front of mouth. surprisingly long finish. Ate skirt steak, pasta and mushr00ms, good pairing, probably would recommend poultry though.

Solid, lightweight gamay. "Just barely enough" is the theme for me. Barely enough red fruit, enough vibrancy. Clean but too fruity. Mild funky, med- body, and med acidity for a gamay. Definitely simple and had a tinge of something that I couldn't quite place that makes this a one-time experience for me. Was part of the first course of our dinner.

As others have said, fairly simple wine. I’m underwhelmed for $20. Dried cherries, tart cherries, other generic fruit notes. Simple, no finish, faint hint of effervescence which fades after being open for about an hour.

Very linear and fruit-forward, little-to-no complexity. Not bad to glug with a pizza.

Bu en succ. A 29$, grosse déception. Simple, fait bonbon et dénué de complexité. Acide et sans chair, pas très long et anonyme. On passe.

Not my thing. Very primary, grapey.

By the glass at Clown Bar, Paris. Very primary nose with some disturbing candy-like aromas. In the background some wild raspberry, blackberry, black olives and violets are lurking. Fresh and sappy on the palate with bright acidity and light tannins adding some structure. Decent intensity to the flavors and the finish has a nice little tart feeling to it. Really easy-drinking but could use a couple of months to settle down a bit.
