This wine is moving past its prime but still a beautiful integration of spice and wild berry. Not as good as it was but still better then most. Sad to see the last bottle go.

Scarlet colour. Restrained cola nose. Dark cherry cola and graphite. Nicely integrated tannins. Fruit ultimately fading. Drink up

Drank at Passa Tempo – very merlot-like nose with black and blue fruits, black currants and well integrated oak. In the mouth it has great acidity, good tannins and a lengthy finish. This wine presents a nose of toasty oak along with the usual merlot berry aromas. There is some sweetness on the palate, partly as a result of the 14.7% alcohol (but not hot per se). I would be interested to see if this wine can integrate more through bottle age, but it is fine to drink now and would benefit from a couple of hours decanting.

Deep maroon core with a vibrant ruby rim and white edge. This wine is looking youthful. On the nose this has rich dark cherry notes, plum and current. Very well integrated oak that showcases a lot of vanilla. New leather and sage jump from the glass as well. The palate is dry, moderate acidity that gives a bit of a kick on the finish. This is really juicy with bold red fruits carrying the weight of the wine. Silky texture …

Leather, spice and flint aromas. Plum and pepper with a little bit of stemmy in the mouth. Well build. Nice spicy finish. The tannins say it will age for a few years but it didn't hold up as well as expected over two hours in the air.
