Matheus-Lehnert Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Riesling Auslese

Clear straw-yellow color. Looks young. Aromas of golden delicious apples, clover honey, lime. It’s amazing how much this wine changed over the course of a few hours. At first I was hoping for more acid, but the acid actually seemed to grow after an hour or two. Strange, but true. Flavors of bruised apple, apricot, cinnamon and lime, are matched with lime and crisp acid. Overall, this wine is showing some nice aged characteristics, but it’s still lively and fresh. …
