Very ripe fruited on the nose with a hard candy feel to it. Yellow apple, lime, mirabelle, smoky woodiness and hints or herbs and white pepper. On the palate it is unsurprisingly concentrated and oily with canned fruit and some warmth. A bit of a bruiser really with a strong producer signature. First bottle of half a case. Medium yellow with medium intensity on the nose and aroma’s of lime, lemon zest, stoney minerality, ripe mango. On day 2 a lot of wet rock/flint. Acidity medium (a bit too low for my liking), long finish. 90-91 Still upside potential, although the acidity level for me indicates it won’t be one of longest lasting rieslings

Young and powerful Riesling. Enjoyable now but will of course improve. 91+

95pts. This is a sensational GV from one of the top wineries in Austria, that is in a early phrase of consumption. It boasts a deep nose, with lots of mature fruit like pineapple and peaches, but its good acidity provides it good balance. Clearly from very mature/perhaps botyrized grapes, and for the fans of powerful wines. Perhaps not a long runner, but wonderful now. Complex, deep, and long.
