Full yellow. Citrus aromas. Open and surprisingly mature although not oxidized. Ripe orange, beautiful texture, no pungently varietal notes, good grapefruit acidity. Very good, but honestly, the 2014 Briords next to it was more impressive and better structured.

I really enjoy this, still atypical for a Sancerre for me; but so tasty; rich and ripe and dense, great fruit, maybe less mineral than some, long finish.

PnP Quite evolved beautiful yellow colour Generous bouquet, slightly oxidized apples, yellow fruits behind, minerality, somewhat clumsy Harmonious palate, lT, m+A, mB, dry, surprisingly structured, quite some body for a S. Blanc wine, Drink now-onwards I suppose This Sancerre is very different from the most. It lack the crispness which is the hallmark of wines made from this grape and seems more to be a wannabe Chenin Blanc.

Six 2019 Sancerres from Pinard and Vacheron (San Francisco) : Slightly herbal aromas. Rich yet mineral with good acidity and depth. Simpler but also more ready to drink and enjoy than most wines in the flight.

Sancerre vs Pouilly-Fumé (K&L Wine Merchant - Redwood City) : A bit unique on the nose. Something like a rubber tree (or a tree that has that runny, rubbery smelling sap) in somewhat of a good way, overly tart or sour round Asian pears. The tartness reminds me of lychee flesh that has gone bad but I guess in a good way, as if this were intentional like brett in wine. Palate is just as similar to the nose. I …

Surprisingly rich and honeyed, orange citrus, even with a hard chill, labeled as 14%. I generally like a bit more grass and mineral in a Sancerre, something more nervous and austere, but this is a uniquely ripe and concentrated expression. Quite interesting. I had opened this under Coravin and circled back 11 days later, and *now* I am getting much more typical Sauv Blanc notes. Grassy, intense, mineral, a very rich style ala Daguneau (thanks for the suggestion JustinW), but …
