Almost 2 years since my last bottle...... This bottle needed every bit of 3 hours of air to really fill out, smooth out and perform to its finest. Classic, rich Napa Cab nose of graphite and forest floor elements. Palate is rich, smooth cassis, a touch of tobacco and leather and perfectly balanced acidic backbone with but a smidge of tannins yet to integrate fully. Two hour decant.....slow ox'd at the table over 2+ hours more. Blueberry/raspberry/blackberry nose with a few mild savory elements accompanying it. Palate reflects much of the same. Pure feel to the fruit, as well. Sweet, round tannins. Good weight in the mouth. Bordered on a 96 for me.
