Testut, Chablis Premier Cru, Vaillons

Short slow ox at home. While I remember buying a few bottle of the 2013 Montee de Tonnerre, I dont recall buying Testut's Vaillons. This is a solid and fairly typical Chablis, not showing any of the exotic fruit 2013 can have. At the same time, it is not remarkable in terms of delineation, tension or minerality. A solid Chablis but not more.

Pulled from the fridge about an hour before we opened the bottle. I love Chablis but I have to say that I was really disappointed in this bottle. There didn't seem to be any obvious flaw...it just wasn't particularly good. It wasn't mineral driven like I expect and it hardly exhibited any fruit at all. It took a more oxidative approach which I'm not always opposed to...but It just didn't work for me on this wine.

vin complexe mais tout en subtilité. Le nez est assez discret mais la bouche est explosive. Un mélange d'Agrume avec une fraicheur de menthol. Il bénéficie d'une belle tension et devrait probablement se bonifier un peu avec le temps quoique que déjà bien délicieux.
