Pleasantly surprised that this forgotten bottle was far better than I had any right to expect at this late date, but it was really good especially after breathing a bit. Tannins were very soft but there was still some structure and dark fruit. Went well with grilled steaks (though I suspect it would have been even better a year or two ago)

Quite surprised to be the first reviewing this 2013, and not sure the rest of us are showing the Alexander Valley release. Never the less, there is lots to write about. Really dark color. Rich blackberry, plum and black cherry on the nose and palate. Just a touch flabby and over ripe leaving the acid to suffer a bit. Mild, appropriate French oak. Civilized tannins.
