Cossetti Barbera d'Asti Gelsomora

Medium(+) ruby-purple, densely-spaced fast moving tears @ 14.5% abv (sic). Medium aromas of cherry, red berry, and leaves and sweet oak. Dry, medium(+)-high acidity, medium integrated tannins, high alcohol and medium(+) body. Palate of black cherry, maraschino, red berry jam, licorice. Pleasant uplifting mouthfeel, good balance with aa bit too much alcohol heat. Good length with peppery and slightly tart finish. Worked well with the onion and bacon pizza.
