An easy 90 points and great qpr. Fresh nose of mountain berry, slice, rose petal w secondary notes of dried beef, ox blood and some iron. Palate is both floral and muscular. With more beefy notes, iron rich soil, and loam. Dirty berries present as well. For under $20 we'll made and enjoyable. Unique as well for those not initiated in Jacky.

Tasty stuff. Clean and true to its humble origins. A nice earthy Cab Fran for a fair price. Lovely.

This cuvee is still cruising along, reliably delicious. A tad more acidity than my last bottle but that is all to the good, as it seemed to have regained the energy of an earlier phase.

Blackcurrants wrapped in graphite. Slight chalk on the palate too. Nicely resolved wine which seems to have hit a plateau. A slight overlay of Brett, but it didn'tmaterially detract from the wine's deliciousness.

2.5 Secondary and tertiary aromas dominate, including black olive, dried sage, smoke, and soil. Quite cloudy (unfined and unfiltered). A hint of cranberry on the nose and palate. Medium-minus body with enough acidity to maintain integrity in the wine. Interesting without profundity. Past its prime. Wish I could have tried it earlier. Good.

Last of three bottles. Heavy on the pencil shavings with dark red cherries and tart black fruits (blackcurrants) that gain weight with air. Also, a delicious autumnal (brown rather than green) stalky and savory element. Really nice depth to this wine with good grip and persistence on the finish. Drinks way above its price point.

P 'n p. Smells like raspberry, sour cherry, and some green sapling, fresh, tart, juicy, and wild. Maybe a bare hint of brett. Great acidity on the palate, juicy wild red fruit, with a streak of vegetation, bracingly tart, fresh, and vibrant. Light-medium bodied, with medium strength tannins. To my taste, this is outstanding; has that total authenticity and purity which too often proves elusive.

Weekly tasting group #070; a mixed set of red wines. (@ CvR) : Purple red. Dark as well as red cherries in the bouquet. Quite tasty on the palate with a lot of cherries, spiciness, some chocolate and bell peppers. The tannin is a bit sticky. Medium length. Might improve a bit with a few more years of cellaring. Try in 2015.
