It's hard to believe it was only three years ago I was picking of '14 La Chablisienne 1er Crus in the mid-$20s USD. Are those days (for a great vintage) gone forever. I think so. $30 is the new mid-$20s bargain methinks. 13% abv BHRH's Dec. 2020 TN is spot on. CT drinking window currently goes to 2022 and I think it can go at least that long, no problem, if properly stored. Excellent QPR at $23 USD. Sad that …

Fresh, straight, nice acidity and improve day by day. Best performance is the glass 2 weeks after opening.

Light to medium body, good acidity and minerality with a touch of salt.

Holy acid batman! This doesn't seem balanced but if the acid would integrate maybe in the future. I don't get any oxidative nor stone fruit notes. Right now, I got it as linear, edgy, and citrus filled. I have another bottle that I might sit on for a few more years.

Slow ox for 45 minutes. Delightful citrus, green apple and limestones on the nose. Zippy acidity on the palate with lots of minerals intermixed with a good amount of citrus. Medium-to-long finish with bright acid and minerals. This bottle was singing and well stored bottles should easily last another five years

Better than the bottle I drank in April, the sharp edges smoothed, the wine fully integrated and overall showing more depth now. You don't need to wait on this. It's good to go.

drink up - the wine is thinning out. It was a good wine for the run it had but, it's done.

Root Day - good but not fabulous - good acidity, baked apple, nice citrus. Needed some time to open up. Slight oxidative character but not over the top.

Much lighter then my last bottle (3 months ago). This one much lighter and not so interesting. Drinking more like I would expect from this lower end Chablis.

Citrusy and bright, in a balanced sense. Moderate finish. Not very complex, but well made and a nice drinker. Went well with roasted chicken and veggies. Good QPR at 23 bucks.

Drank well over two nights, I really dug it even if at times I felt it was a touch thin. Nice citrus with some orchard fruit on a steely, taut frame with underlying minerality.

sadly - a bit of cork taint. However, there was clearly some nice minerally fruit underneath. Think I'll wait 6-12 months for the next bottle

Nose. White flowers, pineapple, not ripe banana, mandarin, cut grapefruit, grape juice, ripe meyer lemon. Drinking surprisingly rich after reading all the other notes. Drinking like a very good Chablis. I’d bought these for $27 and would buy more right now if I could. Crisp fresh, rich, some bitter heat that I like, grapefruit, lemon from a ripe lemon, a bit steel, finish with a little white pepper heat and lemon/grapefruit zest that makes my mouth water for another sip.

hopefully an off bottle because this was one of the least interesting 14s I've tasted. Nothing going on here.

Stony, saline, white peach. That's about it, this is not a complex wine. It's austere and balanced, too restrained but better on the second day.

Similar to last bottle. Perhaps a bit more reticent with the florals on the nose, and a bit more mineral than fruit than I remember. Steely acidity and chalky minerals are very prominent on this bottle. excellent QPR.

Damn, this is great value. Very focused and expressive on nose and palate. Nose is typical steely Chablis, white flowers, white peach minerals. What kicks this up a notch is the wow on the palate - racy, exotic and flamboyant edible flowers (orchid? feijoa?), med-ripe apricots, spicy white pepper and a moderate amount of chalkiness. A touch of richness from malo + 12 months on the lees, lending heft and length to the finish - a nice compliment to the …

More Young Burgundy (K&L Wines, San Francisco) : Pale green. Whiff of iodine. Light, mineral, good acidity but not a lot beyond that.

Pale. Lovely nose, nicely flinty mineral with a touch of oyster shell. Positive attack, good mineral grip. Proper 1er Cru weight and intensity. Not obviously 09 overtly ripe. Finishes well. Lovely. top ***
