Decanted for 8 hours. This did not evolve over the long decant, and showed some extracted fruit and seemed to have VA. Served blind, least favorite wine of the flight. aroma of purple fruits, red fruits, berry, some tertiary. Great nose.

Dark brambly sweet fruit. Dark color. Moderate tannin. This is enticing out of the gate, with plenty of stuffing to evolve. This probably deserves some years in bottle, but we like Prieur in this opulent primary phaee.

Chambolle & Gevrey BYO (Grand Hyatt Hong Kong) : Two bottles. Ripe and deep heat, somewhat bitter. Packed and linear. 91+

This is an exquisite wine. Dark ruby with significant fruit and floral aromas on the nose. This is medium bodied but the tannins are still evident given the size and structure of the wine. The aftertaste has a wonderful vibrancy with a long finish. I loved this. Arguably my WOTN amongst a wonderful selection. This will get better and better also. Shared by KB

Opened for 2 hours, light red, ripe red fruits, concentrated, powerful yet light, finesse, the length is outstanding, sweet & spices after time in the glass, drinking well but be better with more age say 2025 years onwards

Surprised to see substantial bricking, this bottle is quite a bit farther along than the last bottle about 18 months ago. Rich fruit and smooth tannin, length of finish is on the modest side for a top Grand Cru. This is not very Musigny, but it is tasty, and probably not a long term ager.

Scintillating- rich Asian spice combined with floral finesse for a total knockout. Drank on the early side of the curve. Highly recommend at least a one hour bottle decant at room temperature prior to pouring amazing.

Jacques Prieur Musigny is my fiancé’s favorite wine, and we have been dry at home thus far in January. Ordinarily I would never open an 09 Musigny but: (1) 09’s can be precocious; (2) Prieur Musigny tends to drink well younger than most; (3) it’s the only vintage we have so what the hell.
