Old gold; honeyed, tangerine overtones ; medium-sweet, decadent, balanced, fully mature; long, no need to rush.

Ten years after purchase and four after the last try, this has really improved. The nose has acquired notes of apricots and hazelnuts, along with the honey and butterscotch, and in the mouth, there is also a sense of nuttiness that tempers the sweet fruit, which together with the slightly dry finish and the low alcohol level, makes it very enjoyable as well as being very complex. Peut etre que sa rentre de dégustation est passée car semble manquer de concentration : néanmoins très plaisant , ressemble à un petit Yquem!

Much the same impressions as the last - gorgeous honey and butterscotch with a crisp, almost dry finish. Excellent - the only problem remains the price - 50€ is far too much to entice me back for more.

Not cheap at 50€ a bottle (there are countless Sauternes available for less), but I bought some direct out of curiousity. Gorgeous aromatics, with honey and spring flowers, than a very well balanced mouthful of honey and quince, with a refreshingly dry finish. Not at all stodgy, very easy to enjoy, not too powerful, perfect balance. An interesting alternative to Sauternes.
