Lunch with Rich : Elegant, florals, white fruits; medium bodied, 12.5% alcohol, dry, medium acidity, balanced; medium finish. Very nice dry Riesling. 90-91

Another glorious btl.. Perhaps slightly more settled.

Absolutely gorgeous. Pure peach, ripe guava, amazing fruit intensity. Lovely acidity and depth, with some deep minerality to boot. Fantastic.

Pretty amazing refinement and detail in a young, brilliant riesling. Balance of fruit and slate and penetrating vivacious energy. Like a power source in a bottle. There is florals and stone fruits. it goes on forever on the palate. Stenimetz is some kind of wizard.

Pop and pour. Pure Riesling intensity: peach, lime, stone. On the palate: lovely acidity and density. Disappeared quickly. Yum.

Feller Gang Dinner (VIVU) : Very fine effort for the 2022 catastrophe vintage. Again, like the 2016 tasted a few weeks ago this has too much residual sugar (we reckon around 12g/L) for me to be considered a 'serious' dry wine that it is posing to be. Much more tight, stone-driven style compared to other Mosel wineries that don't ferment to dryness (say Molitor). Not much fruit on the palate, despite the presence of sugar. Lively light gold color with green highlights. Absurdly attractive nose, wholly sufficient to just sniff and imagine what it might taste like. Bursts from the glass with sweet yellow fruits, golden apples, ripe pear, light petrol. Maybe a little melon and who knows, fresh hay? There's plenty of balancing acid.
