Appearance: deep garnet with a razor thin clear edge hinting of age but with some youth still present. Well-spaced, slow-moving legs suggest elevated alcohol. Nose: clean, medium(+) intensity aromas of stewed cherries, tar and cedar race ahead of glass’s rim to your nose. Behind those leading notes are scents of clove, nutmeg, earth and a faint residual alcohol spice. While now firmly in the tertiary phase, remnants of evolved red fruit remain.
