Second bad bottle in a row. This time, it tasted OK coming out of the botte, but within 10-15 minutes in the glass it had turned metallic and undrinkable. Not sure if these are just over the hill, or bad luck. Very different than the last bottle, which seemed oxidized, but still... down the drain.

Golden apple, hint of butter but more Chablis than CA, brioche, hint of citrus, melon, tropical fruit pastry, not as crisp as prior bottle.

continues to drink well. There's no question in my mind that I'll have consumed all my bottles long before this wine has run its coarse.

This was a good showing for the wine, it has rounded out/plumped up a bit with age, but doesn't yet show overwhelming oxidative notes. Decent cut from acidity, finish was a bit short

4th of a 6-pack. A little more austere tonight. Notes of yellow apple, lemon peel and vanillin. Slightly rich on the palate, with nice creamy mouthfeel and more orchard fruit notes ending with a butterscotch finish. Wish there was a little more acid structure. Will continue to hold onto my other bottles for further aging.

Upon pop and poor this was a bit reticent. after about an hour+ it put on weight and opened up. Nice wine and great value. I do have the sense it can age well, certainly better than most CA chardonnays

A really terrific chardonnay and an amazing value. I concur with the lemon backbone others are getting on this. A highly enjoyable wine to drink alone, or with food. I drank a 2012 Terrien at the same time, and can vouch that these continue to age very gracefully, and have a long life ahead if you have the patience to wait. I personally liked the 2015 better (other in the party disagreed), but the 2012 had added depth from age …

Apple and stone with a little unobtrusive oak and good acidity and drinking it with food brings out more nuance, it reminds me a bit of De Moor Bourgogne-Chitry. One of the best values I’ve had in years.

This was awesome. No detailed notes tonight but this wine really impressed for the price. Great tart fruit (yellow apple), but some roundness with it too. Not totally austere / severe. Really enjoyed this and was a crowd pleaser.

WOW...I had high hopes from other’s experiences and this exceeded my expectations. This needs air to show it’s best and after about an hour this is chiseled with good citrus fruit, Granny Smith apple and pear with some saltiness, mineral notes, white pepper and a lingering finish. This would hold it’s own, if not outperform, against any top premiere cru Chablis. Crazy steal on BD and will definitely be buying more.

Let’s start with full disclosure— I tolerate white wine and am a skeptic, love albarino and muscat sauvignon blancs. I loathe oaky buttery chards, love French Chablis when done right. I started with an open mind here and was not disappointed. Wow, what a great wine. Granny Smith Apple, pineapple, tropical fruit, texture of a chard, fruit of a muscat SB. Someone read my mind on what I like! More French than CA. $9 on BD XI, GTF outta here.

First experience with this producer. Purchased on Berserker Day. This wine makes a singular first impression and exceeds expectations, especially if that expectation is predicated on archetypal Sonoma Chardonnay. Pale golden color. Immediately gets one's attention with bracing Granny Smith apple, mirin, and pear aromas. A righteous acid spine supports apple, lime, and baking spice. On its own, this seems almost severe, but makes a magnificent partner with food (Indian in this case). At 4 years of age, it has …

*** This was my first Terrien in some years. I thought about opening it. When would be the best time? What if it was a bad bottle? The grapes are from a different vineyard than the others I’d had, would it still please me? How long to let it rest after its trip from CA? Lots of doubts swirling around (but at least not jumping from the glass :-) ). Finally I threw caution to the winds and actually opened …

Medium weight. Very flavorful. A little of everything. Great value for the price. Got better over 4 hours.
