Crimson. More dark than red fruit, violets. Ripe . Reticent but showing some density. Young. Lots of tannins but round. Long smooth finish. Aromatics intensify with some time in glass. Loads of potential

The wine has density, intensity and a bit of spice, but no sophistication and little aftertaste. Probably very young. But this is a pinot which I suspect could be produced in many wine regions of this world and while objectively it's totally okay, this feels like entry or low-mid level and with a price point of 47 EUR this is comically bad QPR - we are at 15-20 EUR value here (at best).

Loads of Asian spice to the aroma. Fruit aromas and flavours are dark, with notes of blood plum and black cherry. It has a creamy, rich mid-palate and good mineral detail. It is velvety, voluminous and very long. Far too young but pleasurable none the less.

This has ripeness and density without being overly heavy, leaves the impression of shutting down. Some surmaturitie, a bit of salinity and rusticity; aggressive swirling reveals what I hope will become the dominant character with age, but for now this seems like it is shutting down sooner than the few other '19s I have. Tasted twice, consistent notes.

A private dinner (Restaurant d'Oude Schuur, Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium) : Tasted blind. Cool and mineral, bright and jewelly character, light and elegant, real finesse and elegance, great terroir expression, very good persistence, oak needs a little more time to integrate.

Loads of spice here. There’s some raspberry, pomegranate and cranberry fruits along with Chinese spice powder. It has a sweet and intense core and is rich and layered. It has fabulous complexity and a finish that really fans out and persists.

Bright and punchy from the get go. Some Asian spice notes coupled with intense black cherry and blackberry. It is plush and velvety, with good presence and a finish that is carried by ripe tannins. Delicious!

Immediately expressive, with notes of aniseed, wild berry, menthol and ginger. It is full and voluminous, with waves of creamy flavour. It has great fruit intensity and ample structure buried under the flesh. It is long and expansive.

The perfume of dried flowers envelops the nostrils upon first sip. It has perfectly ripe blue fruits too. It is rich and textured, building through the palate and with a finish that is carried by ripe tannins. Super-delicious now but with so much left in the tank.
