Wine was decanted for an hour. Definitely past peak, but still drinkable. Stewed plums, prunes, black licorice, pepper, charcoal, and oak. Paired with flat iron steak in garlic-butter sauce.

Big and bold as usual, hints of leather and game - will go great with lamb steaks.

Fantastic with our pizza. Enough tannin left for good structure but very fruit forward.

Nice petit. Inky black. Mellow fruit and tannins for a Tobin. Enjoyable wine.

Just a decent PS at Halle's. Had some off-putting bitter elements throughout.

Pungent nose which is followed by big flavors of black fruits and tobacco. Very dark purple color and a long finish, this makes for a very enjoyable wine.

Cherry, oak (and vanilla), and tannin. Hint of cocoa. Like most TJ reserve wines, overpriced even on a club shipment. Worth $25 at the most.

Very opaque, with a great nose. Fruit up front, but considerable tannins still around. Probably should've waited another year...

Note: Used an aerator. Great wine. Dark violet color and nose of bramble. Tastes of rich dark fruit and very smooth with great legs.

Pitch dark violet, almost fully opaque. Ripe and brambly nose with some fig and tobacco notes. Palate is highly tannic (of course) and takes a good day or two to settle into a reasonably smooth texture. Once it oxygenates, it displays some great varietal flavor but it's not perfectly harmonious yet. Should really be nice in another couple of years. 5+10+16+7 = 88
