Francois Germain Beaune 1er Cru Les Cras

Epic Trip to Piedmont; 4/18/2025-4/26/2025 : This pours light ruby in the glass. The nose is elegant and high toned showing rose petals, red currants, cranberry, raspberry, chalk, and dry soil. The palate enters on the gorgeous red fruit, sweet at its core with medium minus very fine tannin and medium plus acid. The finish is light, floral, and red fruited, but fizzles out just a little short and tart.
