Had with a friend in Hawaii. Decanted for 4 hours which was a great idea. Wondeful dark fruit, a little earth, and medium finish. Very integrated tannins. Extremely enjoyable. Good time to drink but no rush.

Beautiful cedar and plum nose. Perfect balance with acids and cherry and plum fruit. Beautiful wine. Will last easily another 5-10 years

Discrete nose snd palate with dark mature fruit, tobacco and spices. Medium+ acid and tannins but weak fruit therefore no Good balance. Complexity is low and comes mostly from the tertiary notes from aging.

Last bottle, opened 6 hours prior to dinner out with the boys. Same as prior bottle but in a good spot. Cherry driven on the palate and no rough edges and very smooth finish. Don't drink much Italian wine but this was enjoyed by all. Air seems to really help these wines.

Bright red fruit, slightly tart, and rather lean and tannic. Should improve a bit with some more time.

Opened 3 hours prior to dinner, no decant. Crimson color with a burnt orange rim. Very smooth delicate flavors went well with spaghetti fruit de mer. At least 1 hour decant needed for this wine to open up.

Really good. Last one I had was approx 3 years ago and was shut down. My opinion is that the wine is not going to improve from here. Some drying tannins, light & fresh, but color looked a little advanced and i feel that with some more age the fruit will begin to fade and wine will lose its balance. So, i will enjoy mine over the shorter term while it is drinking vry enjoyably.

Double decanted and it showed nicely w light to medium body, fine soft tannins, cherry/raspberry flavors and ok finish. Great QPR - Good Brunello for the price of a Chianti. Should continue to evolve for a few more years.

This is a producer that is new to me, and an auspicious debut it is. While relatively young, this is excellent now with some promise for the future. Bright dry cherry flavors, taking on the beginning of some development. It's got the distinctive dusty but clean smell of Brunello, with dried herbs, flowers, a little bit of wood. Ripe red fruits, new leather, oak notes. Medium bodied but pretty firm tannins. Won’t compete with the very best; but you get a serviceable Brunello for a great price.

Noticeably bricking, oxidation and dusty on the nose with some cherry notes. Light on the palate, soft tannins and light red fruits, berries. Pleasant and fine for the money but drink up.

Reasonably priced Brunello that offered aromas of toasted bread, prune and floral elements. Flavors of cinnamon, black fruit, chocolate, candied apple and tart cherry on the palate. Tannins were ever present but trending toward resolved, with good fruit also present. Balanced, medium bodied with no rough edges. Dry, rather short finish. Overall, a very nice, enjoyable wine.

Similar experience as @Gnieboer mentions below. It was fine on the nose and though the tannins were nicely resolved, the finish was dry and left more to be desired. Then again, for $40, pretty good QPR. Decanted for 2 hours. Best glass was the last one, as usual.

Pop and pour and tasted with food (rigatoni con pomodoro) and then tasted on its own. Followed for about 4 hours. Dark ruby red color. At first, the wine has a raisin and prune note. After some time being open, it continues to show dark fruits - dried cherries, some raisin and a chocolate element. Nice mouthfeel, and the tannins are fairly soft. Enjoyable. Three hour decant, rebottle for transit to restaurant, 90 minute slow-ox in car & at table. Bricking plainly evident. Pleasant dusty cherry nose, red berry palate. Tannins rounding but still a tiny bit austere. Perhaps the best USD$40 BdM out there?
