Walson Holland Syrah Rancho Boa Vista Vineyard

Lovely structure. Nice blackberry and black pepper. More vanilla on the palette than I was expecting. As it opens in the glass, a chalk earthy mouthfeel emerges, and notes of luxardo cherry and fig jam come forward.

I had this for the first time at release and again last week. If you love Syrah for all the things that Syrah is then this is it. Rich black and blue fruit, cured meats, black olive, pepper. This has to be the next California king of Syrah. Very impressive
