Showed nicely. Has really good balance and its acidity sure helped. Incredibly pure, ripe red fruits with some tobacco, charcoal and dusty florals. Elegant and pure.

Popped and poured, had a glass on night one over 45 minutes or so. Delicate nose of flowers, raspberry and some white pepper. Taste wise is blackberries, boysenberries and currant with plenty of smooth tannins. Hope I can get some more tomorrow before spouse finishes the bottle. Soft nose of lavender, white pepper, plums and black berries. Flavors of black raspberries, black berries and black cherries. Medium acidity, medium tannins, medium to full bodied. Drink or hold.

Inky purple with an intense nose of ripe red fruits. Rich with firm tannins. I would give this wine another 2 years and drink over the next 5 after that. Lovely wine with good fruit and grip on the palate. Impressively persistent finish. A terrific value at $15-18. Open one week: A little left in the bottle that I finished tonight with roast beef. Quite impressive. This held up extremely well. Still plenty of ripe berry fruit and no oxidation! …
