- Crimsom color and aromas of raspberry. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of black currant and butterscotch with a medium body. Narrow texture with a medium finish - Did not expect much from this but was pleasantly surprised. Nice gentle fruity bouquet. Rounded smooth easy drinking. It's a 'what it says on the tin' wine. Drink soon.

Musty nose as others have commented...light to medium weight, moderate level of acid and light on the tannins. Finish is medium in length and not complex - overall just get a resonating note of the musty, earthy quality with a little oak in there and some plumy notes. Not pleasant enough for me to search out more. Will try again with more air time

People seemed to have fun pissing on this wine at a tasting, and to be fair, it was one of the lesser ones. But still, it almost gets into decent qpr value. Not offensive...some smoke and spice, and a weird bloody meat thing going on. Truth be told, 90% of California merlots in this price range absolutely blow, so give this one a chance some time. Another great by the glass wine for wine bars and restaurants.

Nicely rounded merlot. Fruity with low acidity. A good everyday option. I decanted for one hour.

Deep red, almost purple. Smoky rich fruity (red) nose - pleasant. Very deep plummy first taste with a hint of menthol on the mid. Slightly dissapointing alcohol finish. Solid everyday wine.
