Seven Hills Winery Carménère Walla Walla Valley

First time trying a 100% Carménère, and it was a pleasant surprise. Medium-bodied with bright berry fruit, a little milk chocolate and spice, and a smooth, easy finish. Nicely balanced acidity with medium tannins. More approachable and fruit-forward than I expected. It was not overly green or earthy like what I read about Carménères. Solid everyday red.
