Senses, MCM88 Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley

Fruit from vineyard formerly known as Kiefer Ranch with grapes formerly farmed by Kosta Browne. This wine was a showstopper on the nose. Smelling this wine blind, I believe most people (including myself), would say Nebbiolo from Piemonte. Tart cherries, strawberries, cranberries, fresh and dried rose petals and black tea. Very complex and appealing nose. It wasnt firing on all cylinders on the palate tho. Seemed a bit short and missed some density and complexity. Did get better with air …
