Delightful, white flowers and a touch of pleasant smoke on the nose, lots of acid, Chablis-esque

Aligotasting (Utregs Wijnhuis) : [Tasted blind] This stood (up) next to Lachaux Les Champs d’Argent. Also very good, just not as good. Medium+ intensity, also exidative with bruised yellow apple. A bit more stuffing. Bordering on Vin Nature. Part of 10 Aligote’s tasted blind with Anne Boisson, Comte Armand, Pierre Boisson, Coche Dury, Fabien Coche, Nicolas Faure, Charles Lachaux, Cassiopee, Ramonet and Leroy

Yellow apples, lemon curd, white flowers and a touch of vanilla. Very nice density and good acidity with a very nice finish. Bit less complex than the Faure.

@oocker, really nice aligote. Apple dominated with razor sharp acidity.

Echezeaux : I loved the 2020 but this didn’t taste right. Ripe green apple fruit but with a distracting greenness. Will the naysayers of 2021 whites be proven correct?

Fruit is pretty intense although clearly underripe. Shrill acid and touch of green. Can’t help but thinking the vintage is showing rather obviously here. The quality though is evident.

Really nice aligoté: packs a punch of ripe lemon, lime and a hint of grass and white flowers. There is also some sour candied lemon aromas. A bit of texture as well. Not incredibly long or complex, but i haven’t had any aligoté that was complex before, so very good for what it is and certainly the best i have had so far (maybe just a handful though so not much experience in aligotés am afraid - open to suggestions!)
