This wine is overshadowed by its agressive oak, there is almost no lift, purity or freshness, ending flat and nutty.

(Tasted Blind): Mid-gold colour with green flashes. Aromas of mineral, wet chalk and almonds, and a freshness reminiscent of chamomile. As it opened, it revealed marzipan and intense peach pit aromas. The wine has a lovely grip on the palate, showcasing a core of apples, lemon, and plenty of peach stone fruit flesh—lively acidity with a salinity that holds the wine together to an extent. Mid+ gold Aromas of rooibos, mineral, honey, wet pebbles and porridge oats. Golden color. Pineapple and citrus nose. Flavors of pineapple, meyer lemon, pear, and a touch of butterscotch. The acidity is mild with a smooth finish. Peak drinking window. Has another couple of years left before any significant decline.

Medium body. Bright yellow color. Pear, pineapple, lemon nose. Prominent acidity. The fruit follows through on the palate with a touch of vanilla and a saline minerality. Somewhat astringent on the finish. Not fully in balance. Still young tasting. Time should round things out??

Supple and round with excellent minerality and ripe acidity. Citrus and honeysuckle, and a bit of acacia- delicious drinking with a long finish.
