Ok but I found it a little lacking in fruit for an Albariño, short on the aromatics.

Medium bodied, yellow colour. Peaches on nose, and peaches, apricots and citrus on palate. Quite nice, a little evolved and didn’t get salinity this time.

Delicious. Slightly salty, crisp, lime zest. Something pleasantly funky on the nose that I can’t quite identify.

Light crisp citrus notes. Deliciously refreshing. Pairs well with seafood and white meat. Or drink by the pool.

Compare with my tasting of its sister wine in CellarTracker 4/29/2021 12.5% alcohol; metal screw top with faint aroma of metal, alcohol, and somewhat overripe fruit; imported by Martin Codax USA, Healdsburg, California (acute accent retained over the 'i' in Marti'n but omitted over the 'o' in Codax); fast legs, deep crystalline yellow; nose of crushed white grapes, lychee, also a whiff of vegetables like carrots and cauliflower, and a little metal; poured and tasted 20 minutes later at about …

Modestly priced. QPR (for my limited resources) is quite acceptable. Cool from the fridge, 15 min to warm up a bit. Cooked and drank with a garlic-basil-pasta shrimp dish. Sufficient alcohol to open the pallet and send wine and food to the nose. Subtle flower rolled out on a soft carpet of tannin with needed citrus astringency. I buy it when I see it

The key to this is that is needs to be served and stay cold to retain its crispness. The nose is minerals and white flowers. These persist to the palate which also has a slight initial sweet hit of fruit before a drying acidity toward the finish, which is moderately long and just a touch cloying, particularly as the wine warms. Overall this is a passable everyday white wine, although I'm not rushing to buy any more at the ~US$14 …

Bit of flint. Nice tannins and snappy tart citrus. Worked with broiled Mahi-mahi, and, to the other extreme, chicken cream dish. It is modest in character, not recessive. Good, attentive dining companion and attractive QPR

Pretty decent QPR. Nice mineral and tart lemon flavors. However, the minerality is a bit overpowering and out of balance. Still, not a bad everyday drinking wine.

Such a consistent bottling. Crisp and vibrant, with nice focus, balance, and verve to lemon-lime and mineral top notes. Tasty finish.

Subtle citrus aromas on the nose. Medium bodied, dry, rather crispy, showing some lemony/citrus fruit with decent acidity. Felt overall focused and balanced. Good basic Albarino.

a bit disapointing for a albarino, I had much better ones before, fresh and minerally but far too much acidity, bought it on La palma in the supermarket just because this was a quite famous white in Spain and I never had it before. Will certainly not buy it again

This has fresh acidity and good weight, and is a good example of Albariño. It went well with our smoked trout and scrambled egg.

Wow! Is there any tartaric acid left in Spain? This is way out of balance. Complete dominance of the palate by acid. Funky nose that shows there might have been some fruit but once you taste, all you taste is the tartaric acid. Too bad, they have made some good wines in the past.

This is full of life and zest, with fresh acidity and good length. A good example of Albariño. Will probably improve over the next year or so.

An 89 from RP $11 at TW 12.5% Kind of muted on the nose. The palate starts out soft, balanced with enough sweet to smoothen it and an acidity that makes it almost effervescent. Simply stated.....a really nice wine at an excellent QPR. 👍
