Babcock Pinot Noir Grand Cuvée

Medium bodied, nice ruby, with bricking at the rim plus good clarity. Characteristic pinot mouthfeel with good weight and balance. Understandably shows signs of being past it's best on the palate. Sweet cranberry, a hint of vanilla and with some heat on the finish. I'm impressed how well this has held up and I wonder how many of the newer Santa Rita hills wines would age this gracefully?

Awesome wine. Great nose, with strong cherry fruit aroma. Served with lamb for Easter dinner and was widely enjoyed by everyone. Creamy smooth without too much tannin or alcohol. This wine may be past its prime but was still very, very good.
