Napa Valley Visit May23; 5/1/2023-5/4/2023 (Napa Valley) : Eye: deep ruby color. Nose: floral, blueberries, cherries, hint of smoke. Palate: well balanced, great acidity, medium to long finish, medium plus tannin. JI=2. 76% Petit Verdot, 12% Malbec, 12% Zinfandel. 14 mo in new American oak. Sourced from Yountville and Oakville.

Still young, but so very good! ZD makes a quality PV. Beautiful dark solid purple color. Nose: over ripe blueberries, cedar wood, and cocoa. Big bright flavors, silky tannins throughout. Dark fruit, raspberries, hint of cedar and dark chocolate. A light licorice flavor on far finish. Complete harmonious flavor throughout, doesn't miss a note and coats the mouth for a long lingering finish.
