always great. Shared with Peter and Cathy. Lovely, rich, but not too cloying. Perfect.

So good. Well balanced, not stupid sweet and very easy to drink. Nuff said.

First Sauternes. Fascinating. Drank over 3 days. Day 1 noticed melon and slight marmelade or orange peal notes. Day 2-3 honey notes more pronounced. Long finish and lovely nose. Drank with a Danish blue. For sure, would buy again.

nose is honeyed, slightly floral, with notes of lychee and honeydew. it's viscous, smooth and oily. there's a slight tang and an ever-so-slight bitter note on the finish that is my only complaint.

Burned honey and something tropical on the nose Excellent length Wish it was more complex, but it’s a perfectly suitable Sauternes

Who would give this a score below 90. This is a fantastic wine. Even better for the price. Sauternes at its best value.

Bit medicine on the nose, apricots. Opened up all right and still drinking ok. Good enough for the price.

Burst of apricot and stone fruit. Elegant with firm acidity. Medium plus finish.

OK Sauterne, short on complexity (no surprise given the price), might last for a few more years but unlikely to improve.

I didn't find anything special. Sweetness, some apricots and pear, but not enough to get me interested.

I confess I used it mostly for cooking, but also drank the remainder. It's kind of a caricature of a Sauternes - the butterscotch and resin and some sweetness is there, but without the complexity or...ahhh!...that goes along with a great one, and that justifies the upcharge from (say) a Bonny Doon vin de glacier. Still, at $20 for 750ml, who would complain? It's a fine way to end an evening, or finish a pork tenderloin with rosemary and prosciutto.

Monstrously overshadowed by the bottle of Royal Tokaji 5 puttonyos which we served alongside it. Rather light, with good acidity and faint botrytis-butterscotch flavor, but it was not really fair to pit it against the Tokaji, even with the requisite apricots and blue cheese on hand. Pleasant but shy of being great (to me).
