Cellar Tracker AI made me worry this wine is dead by now. It’s not. Probably a bit outside its prime and I should have drunk sooner, but it still delivers a nice bouquet and old world charm

Decanted and drank over 4 hrs over dinner. Exactly what one would want.

Fruit forward. Thin and tannic typical for the range. I would say that this was saved by the vintage. It may work in 2 to 3 years.

2010 vintage

True to the Bordeaux style. Showed fairly light when first opened, but this is deceiving. Even without a decant, after an hour in the glass this showed tremendous structure. Well integrated tannins with plenty of fruit both in the nose and palate. The finish was medium to full. Would pair well with a number of foods.

2005 vintage

Good claret. A little light in weight, with red fruit on the nose and palate, unfortunately followed a great Reserva from 2004, too much of a shift to appreciate this one.

Outstanding bottle, wow. Just Top Shoulder level because of a damaged cork, so the wine aged quite quick. Extremely floral nose and very fruity taste with perfectly integrated tannins. Drink 2014 - 2017.

A good wine, still a lot of tannins left, so typical for the 2005 vintage, but they nicely integrated after 45 minutes of decanting. Fruity, floral nose. Drink now - 2018.

Not my favorite. Good nose and nice mouth feel let you know you are drinking bordeaux, but complexity, fruit and tannins are all lacking.

Very little fruit in this bottle. What fruit there is is very dark. Good balance, and decent mouthfeel, but lacking much in the way of flavor.

Dark fruit dominates the nose and palate. Somewhat austere and almost tart fruit flavor with a lightweight mouthfeel and good balance. A good QPR considering the $12 price.

Juicy, high toned, strawberry and black berry aromas. Some grip and just the right amount of acid. Balanced, supple, and elegant. This is drinking really great now. It helps that this cuvee doesn't see as much oak as the non-reserve. If you've had the patience to leave some bottles until now you can start to reap your reward. Very very good.

Decanted. No funk in this bottle; correct bordeaux nose. Dark berry fruit and none of the bready character that I often smell in 'value-priced' bordeaux. Supple, light weight claret. Can drink this throughout the whole meal. Very good, getting better.

13%. Medium to dark red with good clarity. Some sweet creamy vanilla on initial impression, despite this supposedly being given less oak treatment than the non-reserve. Berry fruits and some grainy tartness. Tasted side by side with the 04 Meaume, this is a brighter, sunnier, smoother wine. Very good.

TWATS V; 8/8/2008-8/9/2008 (Château D' Stearns) : Plain & spicy? Cab?? Woooo hah. Dry Italian, Valipicino! Break your neck tight. Another monster. Nothing redeeming. Filthy. Smells like Clive’s armpits. Crap, not Cab. Tim. Day three. Not very interesting. Held together, but simply not there.

Quite a bit of funk on the nose at first. Some nice sulfur aroma and and evident in the aftertaste. A bit of black cherry and dark chocolate on the palate.

Drinking pretty well now. Pop and pour - reasonably open for business. Nice Bordeaux, fairly ripe, but no heat - tannins are there, but not obtrusive. The 2nd day it was all tannin. Great for $12.
