Dutcher Crossing Zinfandel Century Block Taylor Vineyard

Quick decant. Dark, moody maroon color with big legs. Waxy red fruit nose shows a hint of apple. Spicy berry palate with underlying sour notes and concentrated fruit roll-up and contrasting thistle notes. A broad sheen of tannins on the finish, with prickly and peppery black cherry with dried sage and birch bark notes. Nice change of pace from the Biale, Carlisle, and Bedrock we usually drink.

Maple is one of my favorite sites for zinfandel.

Excellent, enticing aroma. Deep caramel and bright red fruit notes. Taste rich in raspberry. Bright, low tannin Zin. Juicy and acidic in droves. Perfect with any pasta.
