Mas Foulaquier, l'Orphee, Pic Saint Loup

Stand up for at least a week and decant for both sediment and air - but only needs 30 minutes now imo. This is coming around nicely. Great burger or wild game wine.

Dark/black fruit. Very earthy/woodsy nose which blew off with some air. Licorice and mild spice. Something which I perceived as alcohol heat but wasn't because that also dissipated with air. Not really my style of wine, but interesting and perhaps will improve with time or given a long decant first. (I saved 2 glasses in small jars and may update this note later.) PNP consumed slowly over several hours, but recommend 1 or 2 hour decant. Needs decanting for sediment …
