Just a quick note. McWilliams recommended that this should be drunk by 2010, but I still found it vibrant with cassis and plum supported by good acid and refreshment profile. The single vineyard fruit really comes together in a dusty, smooth texture that is deft and gains with each sip.

Last bottle I had a few weeks ago was heavily oxidized. This bottle was showing far better, drinking well and less sediment.

The wine is ruby red and bricking. The aromas are primarily nutty and notes of sherry/port as this wine has oxidized a fair amount. Some secondary aromas of red cherry, chocolate and stewed fruit mostly overwhelmed by the nuttiness and sherry. Sour cherry, sweet spice and chocolate on the palate. Acidity and tannins are both med-low at this point. Short finish. If you have it, drink it up because it is past its best days.
