Acquiesce Clairette Blanche Lodi

Making a seafood pasta, cabbage, fennel, onions and tuna with Sambuca , anchovies, broth, saffron, and tomato sauce. Needed a match and this bottle called out. Like all Acquiese wines it it is clean and fresh but less developed than I expected nonetheless it was very nice with the pasta.

Medium bodied, bold minerality, bold yet balanced acidity. Unique and delicious.

Citrus + meringue on the nose. Nice acidity and clarity. Good body. Slight floral on finish. At tasting room it was paired with a cheese cracker and violet confit which was quite brilliant.

Had over two nights, a nice effort here, solidly good. I will say that even though the alcohol is not high (13.5% abv) the wine still shows some ethanol at times. I think this has to do with the varietal and not the wine growing and making, not sure. Nevertheless, it did not distract from the pleasure and this makes lovely drinking. This is a Lodi producer worth noting.
