dark ruby colour, good clarity. Dark berries, strawberry, some spice & herbal nose. Softens with time out of the bottle. Smooth and medium length palate; dark berries with adequate tannins. A little tart, improving with time in the glass. Good drinking now but with some cellar time still left

Tart raspberry or cranberry with a bitter edge. A touch of vanilla, but no cedar or blackberry or other black fruits. Intense flavors almost hide light sandpaper tannins. I had a hard time figuring this wine out, as it did not resemble a plush, ripe US cab, nor an elegant BDX. The intense flavors, red fruits and acid are really different from Cabs I have known. I did like this wine a lot, and the tartness was bracing and interesting. …

Drinking nicely now. Some brightness on opening which mellowed on day 2. A mixture of red berries and leafiness, with some grip on the finish. A fine effort for the money.

Bright ruby edges, inky black in its depths. Baked pie, flowers, and cassis in the nose. Lush palate, oaky, with vanilla, raspberries, and pie crust. Finishes chewey and very long, fading to a pleasant tartness.

Excellent. Deep, full bodied, lots of tannins. Very enjoyable. Served with steak.

Good bright burst on the tongue. Close to a shiraz texture and finish. Almost confusable with a cab/shiraz blend or even a straight shiraz. Well worth the price point if you like Australian wine.
