Spain and Italy at Estelle (Estelle, St. Paul, MN) : Medium gold color. Drank a small glass over 30 minutes, from 375ml. Drinking well, showing tangerine, apricot, nectarine, honey, vanilla bean, and really nice acid sweet balance. This has got a lot of energy and freshness with the vintage shining. Others commented on a caraway note on the nose initially that then faded, but I never could get that. One to go.

Medium deep gold color. From 375 ml. Split bottle over 2 hours. This was the bet showing of this wine to date. It would appear that this may be approaching peak. Tangerine, beeswax, citrus peel, cardamom, white flowers on the nose. The palate is filled with orange, pineapple, excellent spice notes, creme brulee and more sublte delicate apricot. There's a full bodied texture with a nice satiny feel, good balance to the sweetness.

Medium gold color. PNP, drank a glass from 375ml. I thought this was drinking noticeably better than bottles over the last year or too. There was a lot more body to this bottle, excellent texture, ripe fruits of peach, apple, and orange with nice dose of spice, sweet with orange and vanilla overtones.

This was quite tasty. Nice sugar/acid balance. Moderately concentrated. Some smoke on the nose here and there. Lots of grass and herbs, hints of vegetal flavours. Very complex and interesting wine that was also enjoyable and went well with strawberry/rhubarb crisp.

This is a strange kind of a Sauternes. It has a weird vegetal quality I have never tasted in dessert wines from this region, which may explain why it is not going under its normal label. Grassy too. I like it, but its not typical. Kind of austere. It doesn't even look like a Sauternes. Not worth the $27 a half bottle that I paid from Garagiste, but enjoyable and interesting in and of itself. This was awesome. Sweet but not cloying, full of tropical flavors including coconut, tangerine and white peach with a nose of grapefruit, lemon and orange marmalade.

My first experience with this wine. Very complex nose that initially struck me as slightly tainted by TCA. Blew off quickly to reveal peaches, mango, and honey. Definitely built for the long haul.

Opened this early just to see what I had bought. Easy drinking. light and smooth, but not particularly deep. Honeysuckle, lemon curd, hint of orange, slightly sweet. There's lots of evidence to make me think this is relabeled 2010 Maison Sichel. I'm going to let the rest of the bottles sit for a few years.
