Does its job at £20. Bit nicer with air and a bit warmer, showing some hints of tropical fruit. Nice to try, probably won’t buy it again.

Zombie wines of North London (Terra Rossa) : Not bad, and still alive, but less exciting than the first bottle. Quite oxidative, with mushroomy notes as well as plenty of blackcurrant fruit and a fresh dry finish. Enjoyable start.

Zombie Wines at Terra Rossa (Terra Rossa, Islington) : Deep amber. Mildly petillant still, which surprised me - I've had young english sparkling wines with less verve! Oh boy, this was delicious. Lovely complexity, notes of curry on the nose, just a hint of sweetness, and a lovely mouth feel. I wish I had a case. No detailed notes, just enjoyed with family on a lovely Christmas Eve.

Strangely brilliant... deep amber colour (as befits its age), and immediately unusual on the nose, Sherry-esque but with dirty raw mushroom and a variety of other completely ineffable notes. Lactic on the palate, with some bruised apple, but also plenty of tangy energy, like a lemon/lime fizzy chew bar. Bitter, hints of petrol, harsh. Crisp, stone, acid. Over 2 hours it improved but was never great.

Super tasty once again, very fresh and fruity. Fine perlage and some bitters on the finish. Not much characterised by the aging.

It tasted a little different this time. Softer, less acidic, a little sweetness. Easier.

Well constructed. Lemon, flint, sate, and round pear. Leesy weight. Creamy, minerals wish the Riesling could push through the bubbles, but good wine nonetheless.

Opened on Christmas Eve. 2012 was an excellent vintage in the Mosel. This was an impressive German sparkler and a very good value at $30. Fresh and very lively. Pale white color. Notes of citrus and apple. Firm bead. 92 points.

Spend some time with this sparkling Sekt from renowned Riesling tamer, Peter Lauer. Its nuanced and has subtle varietal character but is very refined, elegant, and complex. It is completely bone dry and you'll have to work for shy aromas of smoke, slate, wet rocks before high toned notes of lemon peak through as it warms.

Light golden yellow in color with a steady stream of fine perlage. Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of apples, stone fruit & some citrus notes with overtones of yeast/ toasty notes, stony, minerals, a hint of honey & spice notes in the background. A: pale lemon green N: apple, wet stone, more wet stone, pear. P: high acid, dry, medium (-) alcohol (12.5%) and body, medium (+) intensity, medium finish. Pretty simple but ultimately drinkable. c: less sweet than most Sekts that I have had. Dry finish but still a touch of RS in here

Wine Tasting Group - Theme: Germany/Austria - June 9, 2018 (Sakhuu Thai Cuisine, Dallas, TX) : Yeasty, bready aromas with tart apples, herbs, and minerals. Great minerality on the palate with added herbs, apples, citrus and ending with some grapefruit pith bitterness. Lively acids and excellent concentration. Linear and yet complex. Probably the wine of the night for me.

Drank at Pawleys. I remember enjoying this, but little else at this point. I also remember thinking that it was probably not worth a rebuy, despite being very enjoyable.

Golden straw color, bubbles dissipate quickly. Nose aromatic, tropical fruits and slightest wax. Palate full-bodied, nice acidity, stone fruits and honey with note of minerality. Very nice, good depth, great with cheese/charcuterie

Very fine Mosel Brut. Best German bubbly I've had. Sweetness yet a little tart. Elegant with nice gas. Flowers and apple pie with a touch of yeast.

Fresh and yeasty, crisp acidity, lively mousse, mineral and dry, light body, light Saar flavours, decent length. Nice rather than special. At restaurant Kiln, London, UK.

Demi-sec sweetness, lychee, lime, slightly green, herbal, slightly tropical. Np petrol. Marginal.

Nose: Precise lime and melon with suggestions of yeast. Fresh laundry. Palate: Laser like acidity. Clearly a young riesling. Some of the citrus notes give way to apricot and underripe mango on the mid palate. Finish is all about wet stones and roundness (courtesy of the bubbles). Has the profile of a spatlese trocken or GG. Will probably be far better in 10 years.

good on its own as a fresh aperitif. light gold, fine mousse, dry with nice Riesling aromatics -delicious. It is an expensive sparkling wine

Few bubbles, more like a petillant with 3 atmospheres. Nice, overall light sparkling with a clear Mosel style. Sweetness of white fruits and white flowers. Would be excellent with well seasoned or a bit hot Asian food.

Rieslingfeier Grand Tasting (New York City, NY) : Very dry. Minerally and fresh, with a relatively fine mousse. Austere, but the individual components are actually quite restrained, so nothing actually pokes out.

Better and better the longer it has been in my cellar. Very pale straw in color. Not much on the nose. Nice mousse and bead. Crisp, dry and minerally on the palate with a hint of pear. Went well with a variety of foods for Sunday brunch

Lauer can do no wrong, this is a beauty, so ridiculously vibrant.

The Great Schintzel Dinner at Eric's and Deb's : touch of the riesling fruit on the nose. citrus. bit of chew in the mid with some spice. pleasant and refreshing. but i would prefer a kabi.

A year in the cellar has really improved this wine since last tried. Nice mousse and bead. Medium/light straw in color. Nose of mineral and yeast. Palate vastly better than before. Yeast and pear with a hint of citrus. A subtle hint of sweetness but mostly dry. Very enjoyable.
