Domain Marcel Deiss, a 25 year retrospective, with Mathieu Deiss (E&R, Portland, OR) : Creamy, burned sugar aroma. Soft, but slightly green, with some notes of Cheerios. Pretty light textually; thin in body. Slightly saline saltiness. Puckering, and slightly bitter. Puckering on the finish too, which is tart and bitter, with some tannic notions here too. Burning and spicy.

La Mission Haut Brion; 3/9/2012-3/10/2012 (Burg Staufeneck) : Creamy, fat, floral with peach, pear, some leon. Really quite good.

Saturday Tasting Group (Knightsbridge Wine Shop (Northbrook, IL)) : Sweetness. Some gasoline. Nice residual sugar. Late harvesty. Honeyed, intensity. Focused expression and finish. A bit tart on the back end.

Different. Really cool and well polished on the finish. Petrol and funky earth up front on the nose. Honeyed apples with a touch of baking spice as well. Nice acidity lends a really cool mouth feel and finish. A touch of light molasses/caramel as well on the palate.
