Color is a very dark red. Lots of blackberries in the nose, with added leather and oak. Blackberries and brambles return in the taste, with lots of light tannins, followed by a full-mouthed oak sensation that is rather nice. Drank over the course of two hours, and the oak disappeared during the evening. Could be because the wine got a little cold. Rating is based on initial impression.
