Wine was enjoyable upon opening ( at this point I would have rated it a 92) but continued to expand its complexity for hours. Deep and dark surprisingly without amber edging normally found in aged wines. Nose was a bit closed and 1 dimensional at first but it began to bloom and continued to do so to the end of the bottle. A generous gift from the friend of a friend. The nose is heavy with caramel and some dill in the background. On the palate, there's nice fruit but also a bitter note on the midpalate that builds on the finish.
