Priorat wine fair 2019 (and related events); 5/2/2019-5/9/2019 (Tarragona and various places in Priorat) : At the beginning we were jumping from one stall to another because the place was really crowded, so please bear with me. We started at the Terroir al Limit and then we moved to some Montsant producer and then to Terroir al Limit again. Entry level Terroir al Limit. Might be the only white they produce and it is good. All about minerals and very …

Wine Tasting Group - Grenache - Feb. 10, 2019 (Javier's Home) : 75% Grenache blanc, 25% Macabeo. Smoky, flinty aromas with tart apples and unripe pears, minerals and a hint of honeysuckle. Palate was more fruit with apples and unripe pears, a bit of mango and lemons, with plenty of minerals. Very enjoyable - complex but goes down very easily.

Small tasting glass @ VINEUM during service, so a brief note. A bit reductive, following candied citrus and apricot. Pretty herbacious too...

Poivre blanc. Belle longueur. Un ensemble assez …

Medium darker yellow color. Almost orange tinge but don’t think there’s any skin contact. Quite oxidative and savory, but not particularly complex. No where near as impressive as other whites they do.

Nice almost golden and clear. Green apples, apricot, ripe lemon and melon and medium intense on the nose. Mouth follows nose adding a bit peppery notes. Medium weight and medium+ finish. An overall decent effort

Dominik Huber of Terroir al Limit - Priorat Talk and Tasting (Texas Wine School, Houston, Tx) : A: Medium lemon N: Medium (-) intensity and developing Chamomile, orange peel, dried lemon, honeysuckle P: Dry, medium (+) acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium intensity and medium finish C: This is one to drink up. It feels a little hot in the throat despite only having 13% abv. Good Quality wine. I would like more intensity. Bit underwhelming for me. At $28 …

A bit oxidative style, but still fresh. Very good with food (salmon & salsify).

Some reductive aromas that disappeared after a while. Fresh, intense and floral on the nose. Fresh and powerful in the mouth.

Spanish Fiesta Sydney 2017 (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street) : medium minus intensity aromas of peachy fruit, crushed chalk, floral top notes on the nose. It's a little sour and ungenerous on the palate though. Food might help, especially seafood.

Really loving this Spanish white made from Garnatxa Blanca and Macabeu. Golden yellow in the glass with a touch of honey on the nose. In the mouth there's layers of pear, honeysuckle, a hint of key lime, tart acidity and a long finish.

See prior note. Honest Bob was very honest. Not undrinkable or even totally unenjoyable, but whatta lotta bitterness. Somewhat puckery. Would be a disaster, but has the body.

From 75cl, excellent unbranded cork. P+P (which was a very good idea, because it disintegrated into an oxidized mess after 60 minutes). Unhealthy urine-sample yellow-orange colour; scent of urine (auto-suggestion?), sulphur and aromatic herbs, perhaps a very old, oxidized retsina; full-bodied entry quickly curdles in the mouth with a pleasant astringency; the best part is some pure-ish lemon on the mid-palate, which persists to the mouth-puckering, unpleasantly raw finish. Oh dear, this is another trendy "natural wine", mistakenly fermented and …
