Inviting summer pudding fruit infused with spice and soft tannins. Fresh, peppery & herby this reeked of the garrigue, such as wild thyme and rosemary. Lovely balance and simply delicious. CHP 89 pts

2019 vintage

Now at its peak, this was a masterly confection of bramble fruit that was soft, smooth and spicy. The mouthfeel and balance were perfect, and I really admired its savoury character. There was more than a little complexity and a decent length of finish. Great value and a firm favourite. CHP 90 pts

Épicée tant au nez qu'en bouche. Un peu de fruit lourd. Les tanins sont fins et soyeux en fin de bouche. C'est agréable au goût mais il a peu de matière.

Savoury, gamey and spicy, there was ripe black summer fruit but with a note of raspberry plus a hint of tar. Spicy and warming, with a little freshness I did detect a hard bitter coming through on the finish. It did improve with aeration, but disappointed when compared to previous bottles. CHP 87 pts

Very attractive dark fruit (blackberry with some plum/damson). Smooth with soft, spicy tannins, good balance and length. Very well received at a group tasting. We were disappointed to find that it is no longer available from The Wine Society.
