Tripod Project Pinot Noir Deep Probe LaGae Vineyard

Bought at recommendation of the store's wine guy, who said ignore the stupid label because it over delivers for the price ($20). He was right. Nose of strawberries, a little cherry and raspberry. Mostly fresh fruit. Light alcohol (11.59%). Taste is a little more complex: mostly fresh fruit -- strawberry, cherry -- with a hint of dried cranberry and maybe leather. Surprising depth and complexity for the price. I'm definitely buying more.

Very pale, almost rosé color. Ripe raspberries, roses, mineral, high acid, med - body, 11.6% ABV, begs for food

Light, translucent ruby. Nose of strawberry, raspberry, and Burgundian sous bois. Very light body, crisp and open knit with very little backbone. This is like the weird bastard child of Beaujolais nouveau and 1er Volnay. The sous bois is delicious and surprising in a bottle of such youth. I don't know what to make of this except to say I really like it.

Did not like as much as the Riesling. A little on the weak side. seemed to lack structure and nuance. Interesting wine, just wasn't a hit like I expected it to be.
