The nose reminds me of dried earth. Some plum and smoke scents show along with a bit of heat. It's simple up front, but a nice bloom of apples and blackberries shows quickly. Full oak runs out on the finish coupled with even acidity and a bit of the heat suggested by the nose.

Light to medium violet red. Sweet weedy black cherries, reminiscent of a Southern Rhone but with a sweeter edge. Nuances of dry earth and faint peach. More medium than heavy bodied but soft in texture, this is a very pleasant New World example of the variety that is unencumbered by candied notes or oakiness.
