Enfield Wine Co. Grenache Brosseau Vineyard

Very light color and body. Distinct aroma and flavor of strawberry jam, though without sweetness. Otherwise, it is more herbal than fruity on the palate. There was another element in the flavor that we found off-putting, though I haven't been able to capture exactly what it is -- not brett or VA exactly, but something that made us reluctant to drink much of the wine. Others may find the wine more palatable -- I don't think it is flawed.

12.9% cool climate Grenache?! Pale ruby. Light raspberries and hay on the nose. On the palate strawberries and grass, high acid, high tannin medium body, low alcohol. Light in alcohol but not flavor, it packs a punch. Great summer pizza wine.

Very light ruby, translucent to the rim. Light, pretty wine with bright red fruits—cranberry, strawberry, cherry. Great acidity and good with food. Always enjoy trying some of these single-varietal wines that are usually part of Rhône blends. This is a more delicate version of the CA Grenache-only wines I’ve had. Really nice.

I'm going to hold off for a couple of years and see what develops. Good now but not great.
