a touch of sweet, but really tannic. i really liked how the Merlot rounds out the Tannat. Maybe even a touch smoky. really liked this wine with a reverse seared ribeye steak and arugula salad with red chili olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar. i am exploring Tannats and have enjoyed them!

Decanted a around 20 min in wine glasses. Started with firm tannins and an earthiness, reminiscent of an Aglianico. Stayed true to that, but with a bit more fruit to balance all that out as time went on. Paired well with the burgers that night and after some time and air, just by itself, no food required. Definitely will be revisiting this wine and others from the producer.
