Ruby and slightly garnet. Anise, dried cherry with an earthy undertone on the palate. The acid has mellowed significantly in the last year and I’d say this is drinking well now. Tanins are starting to soften but still have a bit of an edge and linger for a bit. My instinct says the 2013 has about 2 years left before turning soft. If you have a few bottles, you might think about trying one to see what you think.
