This is a well-made, pleasant, already surprisingly approachable Chateauneuf-du-Pape with a relatively moderate price tag for the appellation. It is more towards medium- than full-bodied, has good fruit, tannins and acidity, and a medium finish. However, the wine is rather one-dimensional, and I would categorize it as a good quality, everyday wine. The wine is still very young and the producer says that it will develop pepper flavors with age, but I don't see how this wine could improve much …
